Lilly's Cantina

Lilly's Cantina has stepped up their drink specials in accordance with the other downtown bars attempts at lowering prices and gaining popularity. They have cheap deals everyday, unfortunately only until 9 p.m. including: $2.00 wells, $5.00 martinis, and $2.00 Budlight/Coorslight drafts. I'm not a huge beer drinker, but this is one of the best deals that I've seen downtown for beer while at a bar/dance venue. The best part about Lilly's in my opinion is the music and dance floor. Since the Oak Rail closure, Lilly's has improved their sound system and lighting, which makes for a good place to end the night dancing. The most popular nights are Friday and Saturday when more students are out.

Starlight Lounge

The Starlight Lounge has officially claimed Wednesday nights as "Ladies Night". Entry to the bar is free and there are great drink deals available including: $2.00 wells and $3.00 doubles. This is a perfect opportunity to go out and not break the bank, seeing as we're college students and can't afford to spend all of our money on over-priced alcohol! Along with the lounge seating and pool tables in the back room, the Starlight has DJ Gunshot playing the latest music favorites. Although I usually spend Thursday nights at the Starlight, Wednesday nights are a great night to go out with the girls! Check it out for yourself. :)
